Job Description As an Environmental Safety Engineer at Honeywell, you will oversee and direct the organization’s Environmental Safety engineering efforts, ensuring the highest standards of health and safety for employees, compliance with safety and environmental regulations and industry standards, and the implementation of best practices. Your ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders will ensure that HSE considerations are integrated into business processes and decision‑making, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the business as a responsible and sustainable organization.
Responsibilities- Manage Title V Air Permit compliance, including required monitoring, recordkeeping, and regulatory reporting activities.
- Ensure stormwater sampling, monitoring, and reporting are conducted in accordance with the SWPPP, including timely submission of Discharge Monitoring Reports.
- Manage hazardous and non‑hazardous waste programs, including waste characterization, disposal, manifest tracking, and maintenance of waste stream records.
- Serve as the Environmental subject matter expert for other environmental reporting such as groundwater monitoring, injection wells, greenhouse gas reporting (TRI, Tier II, CERCLA, TSCA).
- Support other media compliance as needed.
- 3–5 years of experience in environmental compliance in a chemical plant or manufacturing environment.
- In‑depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in HSE Management Systems.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and strategic planning abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Certifications such as PE, CHMM, REM are highly desired.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
- Experience with other media and reporting obligations.
