Job Summary
Morris Technology Solutions (MTS) is seeking an experienced Desktop Engineer contractor to manage the packaging and deployment of physician-facing technology tools across the enterprise. This role focuses exclusively on physician tools, including Fluency Direct dictation, mobile EMR, Mobile Device Management (MDM), Mobile Application Management (MAM), and Ambient. The Desktop Engineer will be responsible for preparing, configuring, and deploying software packages to thousands of workstations, ensuring all applications are properly installed and accessible based on cybersecurity and access requirements.
This position requires a hands-on technical expert who can combine deployment engineering with clinical technology knowledge to maintain reliable and secure access for physicians and clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities- Build, configure, and package software for deployment to thousands of workstations across the enterprise.
- Deploy physician-facing tools including Fluency Direct dictation, mobile EMR, MDM, MAM, and Ambient.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT teams to ensure correct access permissions and compliance requirements are applied.
- Support Citrix and Microsoft Edge environments to ensure seamless application delivery.
- Manage iPhone devices and mobile applications, with Android support as a plus.
- Coordinate and communicate with clinical staff to minimize disruption during software deployment.
- Document deployment processes, configurations, and procedures for future reference and audits.
- Identify deployment issues and implement solutions to ensure reliability and consistency across all systems.
- Proven experience in enterprise software packaging and deployment across large-scale workstation environments.
- Strong experience supporting Citrix and Microsoft Edge in enterprise settings.
- Hands-on experience with iPhone device management and application deployment;
Android experience is a plus. - Experience supporting physician or clinical tools, including dictation, EMR systems, and AI-enabled tools such as Ambient.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) platforms.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Edge in virtual desktop or clinical environments.
- Android device support experience.
- Prior experience working in a healthcare or clinical IT environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support physicians and clinical staff professionally and efficiently.
