SLB is seeking a motivated P&SC Logistics Specialist to support our Data Center infrastructure solutions business.
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the dailylogisticsactivities in amanufacturing ordistribution center. The Logistics Specialistparticipates in ensuring compliance withlogisticsprocedures and ensuring that all transactions are made in accordance with agreed terms and conditions. This Logistics Specialist reports to the Logistics Leaderfor their assignedlocation.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:- Execute and own thelogisticsplan for purchased items in accordancewiththeir assigned freight channels.
- Participate in planning reviews and alignment ofoperationswithplanning and production teams.
- Subscribe to and comply withlogisticsprocedures.
- Identify opportunities for improving lead time, cost reduction and on time delivery.
- Maintain open purchase ordertracking(POs) fromready for collection through customs clearance, material delivery and freight forwarder payment.
- Manageshipment discrepancies including lost or damaged in-transit orders, including filing insurance claims.
- Ensure that the center adheres to SLB approvedfreight forwarderagreements and contracts.
- Supportplanning and warehousefunctionsin resolving reception and invoice discrepancies.
- Complete actions to continuously reduce wasted time, money and resources.
- Comply with SLB and local procedures applicable to the job function.
- All other duties as directed by their manager.
- Associates degree preferred, or equivalent minimum oftwo(2) years’ experience in a supply chainspecialistrole.
- Demonstrated commitment to making and communicating a culture of positive change throughout the supply chain organization.
- Exhibit problem solving skills.
- Continuous process improvement mindset, including experience with Lean / Six Sigma.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP Systems (E.g. SAP).
- Clearand effective communicator, able to convey complex concepts in both individual and group settings.
- Fluent in English, with advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Mustbe authorized towork in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
