SummaryASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for an Operations Coordinator at the Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana. Under the direction of the Operations Manager & Director of Operations, the Part‑Time Operations Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include assisting in event setups, managing staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety compliance.
Responsibilities- Move tables, chairs, and equipment to designated areas according to diagrams, verbal instructions, and event needs.
- Direct the work activities of temporary and part‑time setup/custodial staff as required.
- Assist in identifying equipment and structural items in need of repair.
- Ensure proper storage of supplies and equipment.
- Assist the custodial department as needed.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations, reporting any unsafe or hazardous conditions immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
- Operate mechanical equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, high‑speed buffers, and carpet cleaners.
- Good communication skills.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds relevant to the position.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to lead a work crew to complete assignments.

Working Conditions- Part‑time on‑call scheduling; hours based on facility needs with no guaranteed weekly hours.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Requires reliable transportation and the ability to report to work as scheduled.
- Must maintain a client‑service oriented attitude.
- Work may involve long and irregular hours, including day, evening, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules.
- Work includes handling chemicals used for cleaning.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in room setup, warehousing, or a related field preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Lift, carry up to 75 pounds for up to 5 minutes, move, climb, walk, and stand for long periods.
- Constant standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching while handling furniture and equipment.
