Fabrication Welder

Pay: $19+/hour DOE
Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM
Location: Shreveport, LA

We are hiring an experienced Fabrication Welder / MIG Welder in Shreveport, LA. This is a full-time, day-shift opportunity for a skilled welder with experience in metal fabrication, MIG welding, fitting, and production welding
.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fabrication shop, reading measurements and blueprints, fitting components, and producing consistent, high-quality welds.

• Perform MIG welding and general fabrication on metal components and assemblies
• Fit, tack, and weld parts according to blueprints and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication plans
• Accurately read a tape measure and other measuring tools
• Cut, grind, prep, and finish metal components
• Operate common welding and metal fabrication equipment
• Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy
• Perform production and structural welding as required
• Follow established welding procedures and specifications
• Maintain a clean and safe fabrication shop
• Meet daily production and quality standards

• Previous welding or metal fabrication experience required
• MIG welding experience preferred
• Fabrication, fitting, or structural welding experience preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Experience using grinders, cutting tools, and common shop equipment
• Strong attention to weld quality and workmanship
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical shop work throughout the shift
