RN Staff

The patient population for this 18 bed adult step-down unit demands intermediate to critical care that surpasses that of the med-surg patient population. The step-down nurse is expected to have strong assessment skills and critical thinking skills that lead to sound clinical judgment and safe care practices. Although fast paced, the nurse can expect to work in a healthy work environment with an experienced healthcare team.

The current position is open to a nurse with one year of nursing experience. Consideration may be given to a new graduate who has demonstrated ability and passion for critical care. The general nurse to patient ratio is 1:3 on this unit. Ancillary staff is available on this unit to compliment the professional team. Orientation will be provided based on your experience and level of comfort.

ACLS is required for this position but can be obtained thru our Career Institute within three months of the hire date. Although not required, PCCN certification is strongly encouraged. Positive team players with excellent work ethic please apply here!!
