Your Role as Charge Nurse:

* Team

Collaboration:

Cultivate a positive and supportive atmosphere among staff, adhering to a strict policy of mutual respect and encouragement.

* Shift Management:
Complete the assignment form and schedule break times for each shift.

* Physician Assistance:
Provide support to physicians during rounds.

* Staff Orientation:
Assist in the orientation of new staff and agency personnel, ensuring they are well-versed in unit policies and requirements.

* Leadership by Example:
Support your team by leading through action-assist patients with personal needs and performing tasks alongside your team.

* Productivity Oversight:
Monitor team productivity, address any issues promptly, and ensure immediate corrective actions.

* Patient and Family Relations:
Address patient complaints and family concerns with empathy and professionalism.
