Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit.
- Gather and report data, carry out orders, and perform therapeutic procedures on patients.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
- Hold current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification approved by the AHA within 90 days of employment.
- Maintain current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations.
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
