Licensed Practical Nurse – Shreveport, LA

Provides direct nursing care to patients in clinical settings, including correctional facilities, under the direction of registered nurses or physicians. The role involves routine and specialized nursing duties, patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and participation in care planning.

• Provide nursing care in accordance with the Licensed Practical Nurse Act and established clinical standards.
• Perform lab procedures, administer medications, monitor for side effects, and assist with intravenous therapy.
• Assist in the implementation of care plans, dressing wounds, and taking vital signs.
• Assist registered nurses (RNs) and other healthcare staff with patient care activities.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Provide compassionate and efficient patient and family support.

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Louisiana.
• Valid LPN license with no disciplinary actions.
• Previous LPN experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple patient needs.
