Job Summary
This 12‑week assignment is for a Registered Nurse who will provide patient care using the Nursing Process under the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and the Scope and Standards of Practice.
Key Responsibilities- Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members.
- Assume accountability for quality patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate cultural, ethnic and religious sensitivity in all interactions.
- Maintain involvement in unit and department strategic goals and objectives.
- Support the company’s philosophy of nursing and professional responsibility.
- Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including privacy protection and communication style.
- Use the Nursing Process in the delivery of patient care.
- Assess learning needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
- Communicate, delegate and manage nursing team resources (human and fiscal).
- Serve as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
- Utilize data, information and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
- Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Certification in a clinical specialty area.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications.
- Demonstrated good judgement.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Heavy Work:
Exerting 50‑100 pounds of force occasionally, 25‑50 pounds frequently, or 10‑20 pounds constantly to move objects. Walking, standing and pushing/pulling may be required most of the time. Exposure to blood, body fluids, potential communicable diseases, hazardous medications and waste is inherent to the role.
