Job Position: Wound Care Nurse (RN)

Your Role as a Wound Care Nurse:
  • Comprehensive Wound Assessments: Evaluate and document wounds, pressure injuries, ostomies, and other skin integrity concerns, developing individualized care plans.
  • Treatment Management: Provide evidence-based wound care treatments, dressing selection, and therapeutic interventions to promote optimal healing.
  • Patient & Family

    Education:

    Educate patients and caregivers on wound prevention, treatment plans, nutrition, and self-care techniques.
  • Clinical Consultation: Serve as a wound care resource for nursing staff and healthcare providers regarding best practices in skin and wound management.
  • Interdisciplinary

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with physicians, therapists, dietitians, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Prevention Initiatives: Lead and support pressure injury prevention programs and skin care initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure timely, accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory standards, policies, and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Skills: Strong assessment, communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent collaboration across disciplines.
Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience in wound care, medical-surgical nursing, or related clinical specialty preferred.
  • Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWON, CWCN, or equivalent) preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of wound assessment, treatment modalities, and pressure injury prevention.
