Position SummaryThe QA/QC Commissioning Associate II assists in quality control and quality assurance of data center critical systems preparing for the commissioning process. The role supports the QA/QC Engineer to ensure that the correct equipment has been purchased and that installation meets industry standards and equipment specifications. This position develops skills and industry knowledge to perform increasingly complex commissioning tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develop QA/QC documents for the entire project, including certificates, calibration records, test results, inspection requests, non‑compliance reports, site instructions/observations, and permanent materials delivered.
- Follow all standards to perform inspections and tests on all procedures and oversee testing methods, maintaining high quality standards.
- Review materials on‑site for compliance with project specifications; collaborate with the department for material procurement and quality.
- Support effective implementation of test and inspection schedules; coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits.
- Assist staff in knowledge of quality standards, ensuring compliance with manuals and procedures, and collaborate with contractors and suppliers.
- Lift equipment and handle hazardous materials safely; perform quality audits on schedule.
- Evaluate documents to ensure optimal quality; prepare monthly performance reports.
- Monitor project activities, analyze processes to meet quality requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of QA standards; recommend corrective actions.
- Support and follow method statements, risk assessment, job safety analysis, and Inspection Test Plan based on project specifications.
- Liaise with Technical Engineer for material submittal to Consultant.
- Develop and maintain inspection reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and company specifications.
- Maintain calibration of testing equipment.
- Perform inspections across all production stages.
- Advise on procedures to improve production efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain test data for review.
- Evaluate data and draft reports, noting deviations from standards.
- Identify quality control improvement areas and implement new methods.
- Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
- Technical Military MOS, trade school, or degree.
- Experience and/or education in complex facilities or mission‑critical projects preferred.
- Any civilian or military technical certifications is a plus.
- Experience writing and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Solid understanding of test equipment and software.
- Minimum 2–4 years of inspection and/or production experience.
- Strong working knowledge of mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Analytical and interpretive skills.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must be able to travel 75%-80%.
- Advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, and Microsoft Project.
- Basic knowledge of systems design for various projects.
- No certificates or licenses required.
- No supervisory responsibilities.
- Occasionally lift or move objects 10–50 lbs; frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasional sitting and climbing/balancing required.
- Vision requirements: close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
- Noise level moderate to high.
