HOURS

Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM. Initial training will be conducted on day shift for approximately 1-2 weeks from 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Upon transition to second shift, a $2.00/hour shift differential will be added to the base hourly rate.

JOB SUMMARY

The Testing Technician Lead is responsible for supporting production through comprehensive equipment testing and troubleshooting. This includes conducting system tests, diagnosing and resolving issues, and providing critical feedback to improve production and product quality. After an initial training period, the Testing Technician will serve as a liaison between engineering and production teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform power-up procedures for buildings using both AC and DC electrical systems.
  • Conduct functional testing of building systems in accordance with established test procedures.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with CAT6 network connections; perform terminations as needed.
  • Troubleshoot electrical power and signal conductors to ensure equipment functionality.
  • Use computer-based tools and software to interface with and interpret data from test equipment.
  • Develop and refine test plans and procedures in collaboration with Production and Quality Control (QC) teams.
  • Perform on-site equipment commissioning, including skids, integrated systems, and modular buildings.
  • Interact with customers as needed during various inspections.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
QUALIFICATIONS Work Experience
  • 1-3 years in a testing, manufacturing, or production support role
  • Serve as the primary resource for team members; provide troubleshooting support, guidance, and mentorship.
  • Ensure team adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and productivity goals.
  • Assist in training and onboarding new employees; reinforce skill development across the team.
  • Communication needs to supervisors.
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of the work area (5S practices encouraged).
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and cross-functional teams regarding workflow, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify and elevate equipment issues, process inefficiencies, or personnel concerns to management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across production processes.
  • Proven hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment within the relevant department.
  • Advanced understanding of department-specific tools, materials, and processes.
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent. Trade school certification in a relevant program is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
