Description:
The Tsui lab in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at LSU Health Shreveport is seeking to recruit a motivated and creative postdoc to join our new team in studying the role of glycosylation in cell‑cell communication. Multiple projects on elucidating the genetic regulatory network of glycosylation, deorphanizing human lectins, and investigating specific contributions of glycan‑lectin interactions in neurodegenerative diseases are available.
The projects will primarily use cultured cells in a BSL2 environment along with CRISPR screens, flow cytometry, microscopy, genomics, and glycomics. Researchers will be expected to design, perform, and document experiments as well as disseminate their work through conferences and published manuscripts.
