We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with at least six months of management experience or 3rd‑key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for day‑to‑day operations and promote a positive, productive environment. The role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop staff, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
- Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, including cash drawer and merchandise counts and asset protection procedures.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, security procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer processes and procedures within the store (inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and enterprise‑level reporting).
- Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain loan integrity.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees about mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Willingness and ability to perform tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated supervisory ability.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Prepared to assist customers outside the building or in exterior storage areas.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Willingness to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Assistant Store Managers will work 40+ hours a week; hours are not guaranteed.
- Computer literacy and ability to operate POS and common office machines.
- Multi‑tasking ability in a fast‑paced environment.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Cash handling experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
