Retail Assistant Store Manager

$14.00 to $17.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process! We are currently looking for the right Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our team.

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with at least six months of management experience or 3rd‑key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for day‑to‑day operations and promote a positive, productive environment. The role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop staff, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction.

• Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
• Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
• Open and close the store, including cash drawer and merchandise counts and asset protection procedures.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control, security procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
• Administer processes and procedures within the store (inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and enterprise‑level reporting).
• Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
• Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain loan integrity.
• Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested.
• Communicate clearly with employees about mission and profit objectives.
• Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
• Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willingness and ability to perform tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrated supervisory ability.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Prepared to assist customers outside the building or in exterior storage areas.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Willingness to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Assistant Store Managers will work 40+ hours a week; hours are not guaranteed.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS and common office machines.
• Multi‑tasking ability in a fast‑paced environment.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
