Job DescriptionGeneral Description of Position
Coordinate activities, manage, counsel, and evaluate a caseload of participants in the HACS Resident Services Program. Provide and arrange training program, conduct orientations, evaluations and appraisals of clients, collect data file reports and provide technical assistance to HACS staff with related work as required.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate the HACS effort to make families self-sufficient with social, community and other public agencies that provide assistance to the Resident Services program.
- Organize an agenda and participate in meetings that provide residents information on the Resident Services program.
- Conduct one-on-one interviews with Resident Services participants, prepare contracts, prepare needs assessment, and make referrals.
- Act as liaison between program participants and various community resources.
- Create and maintain case files on all Resident Services and Home ownership program participants.
- Plan and coordinate special events and programs as assigned.
- Prepare a variety of written materials to address participant needs including brochures, handouts, and newsletters.
- Prepare reports for the program by individual participants and submit to the Executive Director.
- Assist participants to increase knowledge of issues related to credit, budgeting, and finances through one on one work and/or referrals.
- Prepare proposals for services as needed.
Education and Experience
- Minimum education requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited college or university. - Two (2) years of responsible community or social service experience that includes case management.
- Possession or the ability to obtain a Family Self-Sufficiency Certification.
