A vacuum truck technician's job description focuses on the operations and maintenance of specialized vacuum trucks used for waste removal and industrial cleaning.

• Safely operating the truck powerful vacuum system
• Connecting and disconnecting hoses
• Performing pre-trip and post trip inspections to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Perform minor maintenance repairs on truck and its system.

• Safely and efficiently operate a vacuum truck to collect and transport various liquid and solid waste materials.
• Perform industrial cleaning and waste removal services including cleaning tanks, pipelines and other equipment.
• Assist with connecting hoses, setting up equipment and securing cargo for safe transport of hazardous material.
• Adhere to all company policies, environmental regulations, and Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and performing minor repairs on mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols, especially when dealing with potentially hazardous waste.
• The ability to lift heavy objects (50 lbs), work in confined spaces, climb, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Good communication skills to interact with client, supervisors and crew members.
• Proven experience operating a vacuum truck or performing industrial cleaning and hole trenching is preferred.
