PURPOSE:
The Inventory Control Team Member compiles records concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Identifies inventory requirements. Operates and maintains automated data processing equipment to perform product accounting, computations, and research. Stores, maintains, issues, and delivers raw materials.
- Assists/coordinates year-end inventory.
- Daily inventory control - monitor and resolve discrepancies, which includes:
- Negative inventory
- Product listed in primary location
- Product in receiving and research locations
- Physically performs inventory transfers as well as enters those movements within the operating system.
- Monitors and works with Inventory Coordinator with old/obsolete inventory disposition.
- Complies safety, security, and environmental directives and practices.
- Prepares documentation indicating identification and quantity of assets.
- Warehouses stock items, maintains storage area infrastructure and facilities.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, one year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Must be able to work any shift.
- Must have the ability to stand during an entire shift as well as have the ability to lift and carry 60 lbs up and down stairs.
- Previous forklift experience required.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with changing concrete variables with limited supervision.
- Prior JD Edwards and SAP experience a plus.
- Self-motivated and detailed-oriented.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with individuals both inside and outside the company.
- Fosters positive work relationships and is a solid team player.
- Able to complete projects in a timely manner and get results.
- Supports the strategic and operational direction of the business.
