Audit & Accounts Senior – Shrewsbury
Clark Wood are currently working with a well-established and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Shrewsbury who are looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected regional practice that is known for delivering a high level of client service and for providing clear opportunities for career development and progression.
Responsibilities- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
- Managing tax compliance work
- Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Supervising fieldwork and ensuring assignments are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Liaising directly with clients, building strong professional relationships
- Supporting and mentoring junior members, helping to develop their technical skills and confidence
- Being involved in audit planning, risk assessments, and discussions around audit strategy and fraud considerations
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or nearing qualification)
- Recent experience in a mixed audit and accounts role within an accountancy practice
- Proven experience leading audit assignments
- Strong technical knowledge
- Good communication and organisational skills
