Employment Opportunity:
Calvin Coolidge Elementary School. POSITION:
Moderate/Intensive Special Education Teacher, 2026‑2027 School Year.

Shrewsbury Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a Moderate/Intensive Special Education Teacher at Calvin Coolidge Elementary School, beginning with the 2026‑2027 school year.

We are interested in candidates who are invested in the achievement, equity, and access of all learners in and beyond the classroom and have experience working in various models of special education (inclusion, co‑taught, substantially separate).

This is a full‑time benefits‑eligible position with salary consistent with the Shrewsbury Education Association agreement. Salary for this position will be based on the SEA contract. Steps and lanes for 2026‑2027 can be found here.

Individual placement is contingent upon review and approval of education and experience. Candidates with diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, class, and/or gender backgrounds and experiences are strongly encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license as a Moderate/Intensive Special Education Teacher Grades K‑8
  • Strong knowledge of elementary student needs and programming
  • Exhibits the values of Shrewsbury Public Schools
  • Must be able to work flexibly in a changing environment
