Job DescriptionShrewsbury Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a Spanish Teacher for Oak Middle School (grades 7‑8). The position begins with the 2026‑2027 school year and is located in Oak Middle School, Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities- Teach Spanish language and culture to grades 7 and 8 students.
- Use the 1:1 iPad program and Schoology LMS to plan and deliver instruction.
- Promote a school community built on honesty, integrity, kindness, and respect.
- Engage in active learning that encourages understanding of an ever-changing world.
- Support students’ academic, social, emotional, and physical preparation for high school.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maximize learning and continuous improvement.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license covering Spanish at 7th‑8th grade level (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of middle‑school student needs and programming.
- Experience with ACTFL and proficiency‑based practices.
- Exhibits core values of Shrewsbury Public Schools.
- Works flexibly in a changing environment.
