Position:
Moderate Special Education Teacher with Structured Reading – Sherwood Middle School, Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Starting Date:
Aug 31, 2026. Full‑time.
Shrewsbury Public Schools is seeking a Moderate Special Education Teacher certified in Wilson or Orton‑Gillingham (or both). The successful candidate will assess reading intervention needs and deliver instruction to students with moderate disabilities. Experience in inclusion, co‑taught, or substantially separate models is required.
Preferred Qualifications- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license as a Moderate Special Education Teacher, grades 5‑12, with Structured Reading certification in Wilson or Orton‑Gillingham.
- Strong knowledge of middle‑school student needs and programming.
- Commitment to the core values of Shrewsbury Public Schools.
- Ability to work flexibly in a changing environment.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
