Cover Supervisor

Description

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Cover Supervisors in Shrewbury. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and productive learning atmosphere in secondary schools. Your key responsibilities will include supervising students in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring the completion of pre-prepared work, and managing classroom behaviour.

As a Cover Supervisor you will:

• Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of a teacher
• Ensure that students are engaged, motivated and on task
• Manage any behaviour issues that may arise
• Follow school policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate records of student progress

Requirements:

• A degree or Level 3 qualification with solid standards of literacy and numeracy
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Experience working or volunteering with children or young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to manage behaviour effectively
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Flexibility and adaptability
