Tools Design Engineer

We’re looking for a hands‑on Tool Design Engineer to design, develop, and improve tooling that supports high-quality metal stamping and fabrication operations. This role focuses on creating and refining fixtures, jigs, and dies used in progressive and compound die stamping, along with related machining, welding, and forming processes.

You’ll work closely with tool room machinists and shop‑floor teams to ensure tooling is safe, cost-effective, manufacturable, and optimized for performance and tool life. From new product launches to troubleshooting existing tools, this role plays a critical part in driving quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent hands‑on experience
• 3+ years of experience designing tooling in a manufacturing environment
• Strong CAD skills (Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar)
• Proven experience with fixtures, jigs, dies, and production tooling
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities
• Comfortable working cross‑functionally and communicating directly with shop‑floor teams
