Quality Assurance Analyst
The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the development and implementation of programs to ensure that all information systems products meet the minimum company standards and end-user requirements. The Quality Assurance Analyst needs to be able to interact with technical staff as well as business systems analysts to support zero-defect software development.
Duties
- Review and appropriately interpret business requirement documentation for eligibility applications residing on Mainframe and Web
- Review and appropriately interpret technical and functional system specifications for eligibility applications residing on Mainframe and Web
- Develop extensive quality assurance test plans to ensure technical and functional system specifications support requirements as defined in business requirement documentation
- Prepare and execute system and user test cases
- Report on system and user test case outcomes
- Report on system test progress
- Report on system test status
- Identify opportunities to improve quality assurance processes to eliminate or minimize system related errors
- Participate in team meetings; resolve action items
- Perform other tasks generally associated with the quality assurance function, as needed
Required Qualifications
- 2 years Information technology experience
- QA experience with a large systems development project
- Testing large scale system solutions based in a Natural/Adabas environment
- Desirable if experienced in testing Web based applications using XML, JAVA,.NET and object oriented programming
- Desirable if experienced in health care plan subject area and/ or government work
- Desirable if experienced with the Rational Toolset such as Clear Quest etc.
- Desirable if experienced with the Mass Forge documentation repository.
- Desirable if experienced with the Unified Process for software development.
- Desirable if experienced with IBM Mainframe batch processing.
- Desirable if experienced with the Mass Health MA21 online subsystem and/or related MA21 batch processes.
- Desirable if experienced with the Federal SVES/SSA data processing system
Education
- Bachelor’s degree, or higher or equivalent
