Registered Nurse (RN) - Shrewsbury Rehabilitation and Nursing at Southgate

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Shrewsbury Rehabilitation and Nursing at Southgate in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. The RN is a vital role in our organization, and we are committed to excellence in medical care.

About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Shrewsbury Rehabilitation and Nursing at Southgate, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of compassionate care. You will provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, treating wounds, and monitoring vital signs. Additionally, you will supervise and direct the day-to-day functions of CNAs/GNAs and other nursing personnel, ensuring compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, treating wounds, and monitoring vital signs

  • Supervise and direct the day-to-day functions of CNAs/GNAs and other nursing personnel

  • Ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations

  • Monitor the performance of CNAs/GNAs and provide education and counseling as needed

  • Disciplinary action as necessary, and complete performance evaluations

  • Participate in the maintenance and implementation of the Center's quality assurance program for the nursing service department

  • Collaborate with other resident services to ensure that the resident's total regimen of care is maintained

Requirements:
  • Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate from an approved RN program

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in MA

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

  • Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served

  • Must be able to evaluate the performance, initiate disciplinary actions, and prepare and complete performance evaluations for personnel

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting

  • Basic PCC knowledge
