Job Overview

We at Orion are recruiting experienced Dual Fuel Smart Metering Engineers to join our expanding metering workforce, installing smart meters in domestic properties across the region. This is a long‑term opportunity with excellent earning potential, structured training, and multiple engagement routes to suit your preferred way of working.

• PAYE - Employed Role: £42,000 per annum; van & fuel card provided; 33 days holiday; pension;
  Perkbox access; friend referral bonus up to £500; all tools, PPE, consumables & parts provided; weekly pay.
• Umbrella - PAYE via Umbrella Company:
  Option A - Van provided: £200 per day; van & fuel card supplied. Option B - Use Own Van: £275 per day; paid weekly; must use umbrella from PSL.
• CIS - Self‑Employed via approved Umbrella: £240 per day; must supply own van & fuel; option to hire van via Orion; paid weekly; must provide UTR; must use umbrella company from PSL.

• 1 week in 4
• £400 flat rate per week
• Shift: Mon‑Fri 11am‑8pm;
  Sat‑Sun 8am‑5pm
• Jobs received during shift must be completed
• Schedule subject to change with notice

• 3‑week structured programme
• Week 1:
  Mon‑Tue at training centre remote learning
• Week 2:
  Local mentoring
• Week 3:
  Dual Fuel Assessment at the training centre

Hotel provided if traveling 1hr. Van collection (if applicable) from Aylesbury on the Friday before induction. Induction is pass/fail. Must take drug and alcohol test that will affect ongoing employment.

• Start at customer property 8am.
• Hours:
  
  8am‑5pm (Mon‑Fri) 1hr lunch;
  When on call: 11am‑8pm
