Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Location: Culbertson, MT
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent placement
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join a clinical laboratory team. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures that support accurate diagnosis and quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures following established protocols and guidelines
- Collect, process, and analyze specimens including blood, urine, and tissue samples
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and media for testing
- Accurately document and manage test results using laboratory information systems (LIS)
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety standards, and quality control protocols
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory or similar setting
- Proficiency in laboratory disciplines including:
- Hematology
- Chemistry
- Microbiology
- Coagulation
- Urinalysis
- Blood Banking
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and quality control procedures
- Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Phlebotomy experience
- Prior hospital laboratory experience
- 8-hour shifts
- Day shift
- Monday-Friday
- Holidays as scheduled
- On-call responsibilities
