Job Summary

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in the obstetrics department within a critical access facility. This role involves delivering high-quality care for women and their newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment to ensure patient‑centered care during the childbirth and postpartum journey.

Job Details
  • Schedule:

    Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:

    Certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), STABLE, and Fetal Monitoring at Intermediate or above levels; must be labor‑trained. A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Montana and at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience. Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience working in labor and delivery, postpartum, or neonatal care units. Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Additional Information:
    The candidate will provide care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns, perform triage and non‑stress tests, and serve as second nurse during deliveries while managing overflow patients. Responsibilities include collaborating with physicians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient‑centered care. This position requires supporting patients experiencing pregnancy, birth, or recovery complications.
