Position: Part Time On Air Talent Sidney NE

987 The Big Boy and Cheyenne County Country are looking for energetic, community-minded personalities to join our team.

Whether you’re an experienced broadcaster or someone who’s always dreamed of being on the radio, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Host radio shifts
  • Assist with severe weather coverage
  • Represent the station at remotes and community events
  • Create social media content
  • Engage with listeners on-air and online
  • Fill in for other on-air staff when needed
  • Support station promotions and special events
Qualifications
  • Positive attitude
  • Comfortable speaking in front of people
  • Dependable and coachable
  • Ability to connect with listeners and community members
  • Radio experience is helpful but not required

Schedule:

Flexible part-time hours including weeknights, weekends and fill-in opportunities.

Ideal Candidate:
Someone who loves their community, isn’t afraid to talk to people and can bring energy to local radio.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and operate radio equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, particularly during live shows.
  • Occasional lifting of equipment (up to 25 pounds).
