* Summary:
** This part-time (25 hours/week) position is responsible for coordinating the Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP at Brown). The goal of this program is to support individuals from underrepresented groups who are seeking to enroll in STEM PhD programs. The Program Coordinator manages the recruitment, application, and selection processes for the program. This position also encompasses coordination of the recruitment of mentors, oversight of application review and selection processes, orientation and communication of program activities, and management of timelines and fiscal/logistical details.
The person in this position is also expected to be a front facing person that will interact with the PREP Scholars on a regular basis and be in charge of implementing the programmatic aspects of the program, in coordination with the program directors.
This is a fixed-term position with a current end date of 1/31/2028, which may be extended based upon available funding.

Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Degree in a STEM related field

* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task.
* Technical proficiency/expertise with word processing and spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Office and Filemaker.
* Technical proficiency/expertise with online platforms and applications including Google, Social Media, Constant Contact, Internet, Gmail.
* Ability to prioritize, important projects when new hard deadlines change; work independently as well as in a team environment.
* Interpersonal skills essential to deal with administrators from member institutions of diverse populations.

* Must be able to work with diverse population.
* Ability to work occasional evenings, early mornings, and/or weekends for special program events.
