Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM.

ABOUTTHE ROLE
The EHS Technician I supports the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) program by assisting with implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of safety, health, and environmental policies across the site. This position works closely with the EHS Manager and cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies, and fosters a strong safety culture through training, hazard identification, and routine inspections.
WHATYOU’LL DO Environmental, Health & Safety Compliance
- Support the EHS Manager and plant team in identifying and mitigating safety hazards.
- Enforce EHS policies and assist with compliance to Federal and State regulatory standards.
- Maintain records of EHS‑related workplace incidents; assist in identifying and implementing corrective actions.
- Use EHS software platforms (e.g., Origami) to document incidents and manage compliance tasks.
- Train associates on EHS requirements to ensure workforce compliance and awareness.
- Support annual occupational health exams and PPE programs (e.g., footwear and eyewear vouchers).
- Participate in the investigation of incidents and identify root causes for preventive safety measures.
- Conduct trend analysis, site inspections, audits, and behavioral safety observations (e.g., BBS, Walk and Talks).
- Perform and update Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) hazard assessments across production roles.
- Participate in new hire safety orientation and annual refresher training sessions.
- Monitor site conditions and intervene in unsafe activities, exercising STOP work authority as needed.
- Collaborate with site personnel to ensure appropriate inventory, ordering, and disbursement of safety equipment and supplies.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through regular engagement with associates and leadership.
- Assist with implementation of safety initiatives as guided by the EHS Manager.
- Provide administrative and field support on various projects and safety programs.
- Lead by example in upholding site safety rules and organizational policies.
- Lead assigned EHS projects or initiatives with minimal supervision, demonstrating ownership and accountability from planning through execution.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions in coordination with the EHS Manager.
- Support and coordinate the Behavior‑Based Safety (BBS) observation program.
- Prioritize and manage multiple safety‑related tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Perform other EHS‑related duties as assigned by the EHS Department Manager.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Excellent communication and advisory skills.
- Knowledge of general occupational environmental, health and safety aspects of manufacturing/industrial work settings.
- Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a departmental or cross‑functional team.
- Ability to maintain professional communication with internal and external partners.
- Ability to uphold confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
- Willingness to work in a non‑climate‑controlled environment.
- Secondary education (some college) is desirable.
- OSHA 10‑ or 30‑hour training.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Environmental, Health and Safety in a manufacturing environment.
- 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office software (primarily Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email).
