** Sidney, OH
** location, you will work in conjunction with product engineers to design, develop, and qualify compressors for HVACR systems. To maintain our role as a global leader of compression solutions we continually seek talented and ambitious technicians to work in our engineering laboratories. We are seeking a 1st shift Fixed and Mechanical Modulation laboratory technician to contribute to our growth and continued innovation.

** AS A MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:*
* + Follow engineering laboratory test instructions to assemble Fixed and Mechanical Modulation compressors and/or developmental testing of compressors.

+ Set up and install compressors and support compressor electronics for test purposes.

+ Operate laboratory test equipment including calorimeters, durability life test stands, data acquisition systems, and other measuring equipment used to acquire compressor performance characteristics.

+ Fabricate supporting test fixtures and controls required for non-standard tests or builds.

+ Review test data for compliance with applicable test data standards.

+ Perform various tasks related to the upkeep of the lab.

+ You will be responsible for completing required tests or builds and communicating test results with engineers.

+ You will provide input on optimizing work processes to improve the overall efficiency of the lab.

** REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, &

SKILLS:

* + Associates degree or two to three (2-3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Must have basic HVAC, mechanical, and electrical skills

+ Must have troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

+ Must have personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs

+ Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

* This position is on 1st shift and would consist of five-eight-hour workdays and would be eligible for voluntary overtime.
