Job SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer acts as the technical owner ensuring design intent is successfully translated into stable, scalable manufacturing processes. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for creating, developing, and implementing procedures to assemble, test, process and manufacture aluminum extrusions. This position reports to the Engineering Manager.
What you will be doing- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement new process techniques and procedures.
- Own end‑to‑end process performance for assigned extrusion lines, driving quality, cost, and throughput improvements through data‑driven engineering decisions.
- Collaborate with suppliers to define product specifications, arrange procurement of parts/materials, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Develop technical standards, documentation, and knowledge frameworks that enable manufacturing teams to operate independently and consistently.
- Lead root‑cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions to prevent recurring production issues.
- Design and approve tooling prior to fabrication.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to read/write small numbers and perform arithmetic calculations.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Operates effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment, balancing short‑term operational needs with long‑term process stability.
- Provides technical leadership for automated production systems, including programming support, optimization, and failure‑mode prevention.
