Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer Supervisor is lead quality assurance and control activities to ensure products meet defined specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. This role blends hands-on quality engineering expertise with leadership responsibility, including team supervision, process improvement, lab oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. This position reports to the Quality Manager.
What you will be doing
- Lead, coach, and develop Quality Technicians, CMM Technicians, and Receiving Inspectors, including scheduling, attendance, and performance oversight.
- Support development and maintenance of quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce scrap, and improve operational efficiency.
- Partner with Engineering on new and existing programs to ensure capability and quality readiness.
- Conduct capability studies and Measurement System Analysis (MSA), including gaga R&R evaluations.
- Perform and support internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO/TS standards.
- Ensure accurate completion of documentation, including training records, onboarding materials, and quality reports.
What will make you successful?
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing site.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and influence teams in a fast-paced production driven setting.
- Prior experience in quality assurance and/or a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of core quality tools; PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, PPAP, and APQP.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP/S4) and statistical software (Minitab).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, inspection techniques, and compliance standards.
