Job SummaryThe Plant Controller is a key member of the plant leadership team, responsible for overseeing financial integrity, performance, and compliance. This role is a strategic advisor to the Plant Manager and the Region Controller, providing insights that support operational decision making and drive business results. The Controller ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, leads budgeting and forecasting processes, manages internal controls, supports capital planning, and champions continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Whatyou will be doing
- Complete monthly closing cycles to reflect the plant’s financial position, including P&L, capital base, and cash flow operations.
- Direct and oversee monthly physical inventory processes.
- Provide financial analysis, support, and guidance to all line managers and the Plant Manager.
- Monitor the financial policies, practices, and procedures of the operation.
- Lead procurement activities, ensuring all company values are embedded in daily performance.
- Manage capital spending requests, calculate payback and develop business cases for capital funds.
- Act as liaison between plant and regional/corporate finance teams to ensure alignment, consistency, and transparency.
- Partner with the Plant Manager and department leaders to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics, driving accountability to financial goals.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive accounting experience, focused on cost accounting and managerial duties.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with ERP platforms such as Oracle, SAP, AS400, Hyperion, ADP, or Ultimate.
- Preferred: CMA or CPA certification.

Ability to collaborate with Plant Manager, operations, supply chain, and HR to align financial strategy with operational goals.
