Job Responsibilities- Design and deploy the company’s network infrastructure, including wired and wireless systems and the hardware and software that support them; monitor performance to ensure reliable operation, adjust configurations as needed, and plan for future capacity.
- Design and deploy new servers and applications, implement enhancements to existing operating systems, applications, and software; evaluate system effectiveness and efficiency; develop strategies to improve, simplify, and better leverage those systems.
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, network and application mapping, operational processes, and service records to support consistency and knowledge transfer.
- Design system backup procedures and recovery processes that support disaster recovery and business continuity strategies; participate in testing and readiness reviews.
- Participate in the operation and continuous improvement of network security solutions and controls.
- Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsource rs, and contractors to secure IT systems‑related products and services; manage relationships to ensure value and reliability.
- Provide support services and training for users, including cross‑training of IT staff to strengthen coverage, capability, and escalation handling.
- Supervise the Information Technology Customer Service staff by setting objectives, measuring competencies, and providing mentoring and development opportunities, fostering a responsive, customer‑focused culture.
- Ensure effective IT Customer Service systems are in place and that user requests are addressed in a timely and professional manner; own high‑priority escalations when needed.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing a personal network, and participating in professional societies.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Directly supervises up to four (4) employees in IT Customer Service, including contract staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education, Skills and ExperienceAssociate degree in a related discipline and four (4) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge with Fortinet Solutions, Office 365, Ubiquiti Unifi & Hewlett Packard / Aruba network equipment & OS, Microsoft & Linux OS. Microsoft desktop OS (all current versions from past 7 years) and above. Technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards.
