Operations Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineering
The ideal candidate will source and evaluate activities in the purchasing and distribution of raw materials, equipment, machinery and supplies to enable the manufacturing facilities to meet customer needs.
Job ResponsibilitiesAssure that optimum levels of quality raw materials are available to the respective manufacturing facilities at competitive prices by analyzing, identifying, negotiating and contracting with the most qualified suppliers.
Recruits and develops suppliers that provide high quality products and services at the highest level of quality, the most optimum delivery lead time, and/or the best price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
Prepare and execute instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
Execute procurement activities efficiently so that timely purchase orders and change notices are issued to ensure raw material is provided for the respective manufacturing facilities.
Assist the manufacturing facilities' cost reduction programs by identifying and managing raw material supplies and arranging for disposal of obsolete or surplus materials.
Assure raw material availability by staying abreast of market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepare market analysis reports.
Monitor phase-out of obsolete materials and maintain communication with manufacturing personnel to resolve delivery, quality and price problems.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
EducationRequired:
Bachelors or better in Supply Chain Management or related field.
Required:
5-7 years of commodity experience in a manufacturing environment.
