Summary of Position:

At MMC, we are committed to maintaining our leadership in the Metal Finishing Industry through continued improvements in quality, innovation, and speed. MMC is seeking a dedicated Quality Lab Technician to assist in ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality. Reporting directly to the Lab Supervisor, you will be responsible for conducting various tests and inspections, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.

You will work closely with the Quality Assurance Technicians and Production teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues and ensure continuous improvement in processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and specialized testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory testing equipment to ensure accurate results.
  • Document and analyze test results, report discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production staff to ensure quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct inspections of materials and products at various stages of production.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of test results and quality reports.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conforming products.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external specifications and quality standards.
  • Follow all environmental, health, and safety regulations while working in the lab.
  • Support the Quality Assurance team in audits and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in quality control or lab testing in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify issues and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Must be willing to work 1st shift (7a-3p) and work overtime as needed.
