Extrusion Production Support

Job Objective:
Support the extrusion production line by ensuring safe operation, assisting with machine setup and material readiness, and helping maintain consistent, efficient, and high-quality output while learning and developing extrusion-specific skills.

• Assist the Extrusion Operator in the setup, operation, and monitoring of extrusion lines.
• Prepare raw materials (resin, additives, gas) and feed the extrusion line.
• Monitor machine operation and report any issues to the Extrusion Operator or Supervisor.
• Remove finished products, inspect for defects, ensure product meets specifications, and identify any issues with the machines or raw materials.
• Package, label, and store finished products for further processing.
• Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures and monitor all work processes to maintain a safe working environment.
• Effectively communicate with machine operators, supervisors, and other team members about production status, quality issues, safety issues, and maintenance needs.
• Record production data as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Ability to read and understand work instructions, as well as to communicate effectively.

Ability to work scheduled work hours, along with occasional required overtime.

Ability to effectively self-manage time and service multiple areas.

Physical requirements include:

Bending, reaching, stretching, kneeling, and stooping.

Standing for up to 8-10 hours at a time.

Frequently lifting, pulling, and pushing of materials up to 30 lbs., and occasionally up to 60 lbs.

Working Conditions:

The work environment for this position is a warehouse environment with moderate to loud noise levels. The environment may be dusty and may experience temperature fluctuations based on weather which exposes the employee to outdoor conditions.
