Job summaryThe Manufacturing Engineer is the technical owner responsible for translating design intent into stable, scalable manufacturing processes. This role creates, develops, and implements procedures to assemble, test, process, and manufacture aluminium extrusions and reports to the Engineering Manager.
What you will be doing- Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing processes.
- Implement new process techniques and procedures.
- Own end‑to‑end process performance for assigned extrusion lines, driving quality, cost and throughput improvements through data‑driven engineering decisions.
- Collaborate with suppliers to define product specifications, procure parts/materials and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Develop technical standards, documentation and knowledge frameworks that enable manufacturing teams to operate independently and consistently.
- Lead root‑cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions to prevent recurring production issues.
- Design and approve tooling prior to fabrication.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to read/write small numbers and perform arithmetic calculations.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective operation in a dynamic manufacturing environment, balancing short‑term operational needs with long‑term process stability.
- Technical leadership for automated production systems, including programming support, optimization and failure‑mode prevention.
