Wilson Health's Critical Care Unit is a 7-bed Intensive Care Unit that cares for patients with severe and life‑threatening illnesses and injuries. Patients require constant monitoring and support from specialized equipment and medications to maintain normal bodily functions.
Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse provides patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, teaching, and supervision. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team, patients, families, and significant others. They are accountable for their own professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law and ethics. All team members promote Wilson Health’s purpose: improving the health of our community so people can spend more time doing what they love with those they love.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing Day to Day
- Provide patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, intervene, evaluate, and teach
- Care for critically ill patients across adult and geriatric populations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the healthcare team to coordinate care
- Support and educate patients and families about disease processes and self‑care
- Maintain professional competency and uphold high standards of nursing practice
- Lead and guide other team members, including LPNs, HUCs, and PCTs
- Current Ohio RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred; required within 5 years if not already obtained)
- 1–2 years of medical‑surgical or critical care experience preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
