Job SummaryThe OB Coordinator will, under the direction of the physician, assess the obstetrical patient and provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services for this patient.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Makes an assessment of and determines patient’s health related needs. The patient population would include the adolescent patient and the young-middle aged adult patient.
- Educates the patient, under physician supervision, on topics related to their medical condition.
- Administers medications per physician’s orders and performs various diagnostic testing such as, but not limited to: UA’s, venipuncture, NST’s and ultrasound.
- Communicates physician’s orders to various entities and departments as well as to patients and their families.
- Update medical record, including medications and allergies, ensuring medical record is legible, accurate, concise and appropriate.
- Communicates with patients regarding laboratory results while educating the patient and their family in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Will be required to perform quality control on medical testing equipment, as well as, maintaining logs of said controls.
- Assists in filing, fax and phone management as opportunity allows.

- Performs additional duties as assigned within scope of responsibility.
- 2 years of experience working in the medical field as an LPN preferred.
- Experience in the care of the obstetrical patient preferred.
- All LPN's are required to maintain an active clear license with the State of Ohio.
