Occupational Health Registered Nurse

Wilson Health is looking for a direct hire Occupational Health Registered Nurse for our location in Sidney, Ohio (North Dayton, Ohio) area. Working Hours:

7am - 5pm - as needed Hours are subject to change based on event and location

Shift: 1st NO weekends or holidays

Description:

Wilson Health's Occupational Health Department provides occupational health services that are robust benefiting both employers and employees reducing absenteeism and turnover, increasing productivity, morale, job satisfaction, and decreasing sickness and injuries amongst employees. The following services are offered by our department:
Drug & Alcohol Testing, Education Sessions, Employee Assistance Program, Hearing Conservation Program, Physical Examinations, Wilson Onsite Wellness, Worksite Health & Injury Management.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Health Registered Nurse is responsible to maintain their professional skills and continue to advance their level of expertise in the field of Occupational Health & Safety and case management to provide professional health service to clients in accordance with company specific and statutory regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional nursing care within the Occupational Health Department.
  • Assist at all Occupational Health, Employee Direct Care (EDC) and on-site locations.
  • Experience with Epic or other Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is preferred.
  • Perform employee health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and wellness services.
  • Assist with pre-employment physicals, return-to-work evaluations, and medical surveillance programs.
  • Assist with on-site events, health fairs, and employee engagement events.
  • Conduct occupational health testing including:
    Hearing and vision screenings, Respirator fit testing, Drug and alcohol screening, Pulmonary function testing (as applicable)
  • Assess and treat workplace injuries while coordinating follow-up care.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and other treatments within scope of practice.
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and occupational medicine services.
  • Educate employees on injury prevention, workplace safety, wellness, and health promotion.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation care with employers, providers, and insurance representatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within Epic and other electronic health record systems.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, HIPAA, and occupational health regulations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department projects.
  • Maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while representing Wilson Health with professionalism and compassion.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate with a minimum of an Associate's Degree from an accredited Registered Nursing School required
  • Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio is mandatory

Licensure & Certification:

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Ohio.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtained within the required timeframe).
