Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring Ohio or compact licensure and required circulator experience. Unit is Labor and Delivery with support for antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care. Low risk facility with fewer than 100 births per month. LDRP and Level I Nursery setting. Night shift schedule with 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.

Contract length of 13 weeks with flexibility for 8-26 week assignments. Rotating weekends and holidays required. Uses Epic EMR, experience preferred.

Requirements:

• RN license (Standard or Compact) required, current
• BLS, NRP, and EFM certifications required
• NRP, RED, and STABE certifications preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Experience with post-partum care for mom and baby required
• Circulator experience required
• AWHONN Beginner and Intermediate certifications preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and administration of blood and blood products
• Experience with high risk and vaginal delivery assistance, forceps/vacuum extraction, and C-section circulation
• Proficient in fetal monitoring including internal and external EFM and IUPC placement
• Experience managing postpartum hemorrhage, PIH, and VBAC/trial of labor cases

• Provides responsibilities include labor and delivery management, antepartum and postpartum care, and newborn assessment and care
• Duty includes assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, C-section circulation and recovery, and neonatal resuscitation support
• Provides discharge teaching to parents and newborn care education including circumcision care
