DescriptionThe ideal candidate will ensure a timely flow of raw material of the highest quality and competitive price to support the needs of our customers.
Job Responsibilities
Purchase raw material at the lowest price possible while maintaining quality standards.
Issue purchase orders to suppliers and coordinate delivery with manufacturing needs, taking into consideration supplier lead time requirements, business needs, and optimal order quantities.
Maintain and develop communication with manufacturing personnel to resolve delivery, quality and price problems.
Communicate daily with supplier representatives and contract carriers concerning delivery. Ultimate goal to improve supplier relationships and develop trust benefit ting both parties.
Maintain standard of quality products specified on all purchase orders and resolve issues with suppliers.
Drive Key Performance Indicators including:
Cost Improvement Programs, Inventory Reduction, Quality Improvement, Payment Terms Improvements, and Supplier Consolidation.
Become a subject matter expert in commodity responsibilities.

QualificationsRequired
Bachelors or better in Supply Chain Management or related field.
PreferredERP/QAD working knowledge Blue print reading, geometric tolerancing 1-2 years direct purchasing in industrial atmosphere Quality systems, 8D, PPAP knowledge
