SCOPE OF WORK
The Quality Assurance Manager for Gaylor Electric is expected to understand and interpret design packages for projects and be capable of interpreting job site specifications. The ideal candidate can establish and maintain quality control goals through training to ensure employee awareness of the roles and responsibilities regarding quality assurance. The Quality Assurance Manager must be independent self‑motivated, innovative, resourceful, and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
The Quality Assurance Manager is pivotal in electrical installations to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability, maintaining customer satisfaction and a competitive edge in the market.

- Must be able to read and interpret design packages for projects and job site specifications
- Extensive knowledge of National Electrical Code and AHJ requirements
- Designs, implements, and maintains quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements
- Establishes and maintains QC procedures for each stage of the manufacturing and/or installation process and conducts regular inspections, audits, and evaluations to identify areas for improvement
- Establishes key quality performance indicators to assess and analyze effectiveness of QA processes to identify areas for improvement
- Utilizes data analytics to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize processes
- Works closely with other departments to address quality issues, resolve conflicts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborates with suppliers to establish quality standards for raw materials and components
- Conducts supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality requirements
- Provides and initiates QC training on procedures, best practices and ensures awareness of roles and responsibilities regarding QA
- Maintains accurate records and ensures documentation is complete, organized, and accessible for audits
- Monitors customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implements corrective actions
- Collaborates with other departments to address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction
- Identifies potential risks to product quality and develops strategies to mitigate risks through assessments, implementing preventive measures, and establishing contingency plans
- Leads and conducts quality control meetings with project team and/or customer
- Creates and maintains Quality and Commissioning Schedules on the jobsite
- Communicates and manages open observations with installation teams
- May require working in all elements (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.) depending on job location and/or time of year
- Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (port‑o‑lets)
- Must have required hand tools at all times while at work site (waist tool belts can weigh up to 30 lbs.)
- Must be able to work scheduled hours as well as overtime, as required, on short notice
- Must be able to work in noisy environments
- Must be able to remain calm in times of heightened emotional situations
- Must work well with others as a member of a team to complete tasks
