Directs activities of workers involved in carpentry construction or related tasks, ensuring projects are completed on time and to quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Study specifications to plan construction procedures based on start and completion times and staffing requirements.
- Order procurement of tools and materials, ensuring delivery aligns with work schedules.
- Coordinate and direct personnel and subcontractors during planning and execution, interpreting specifications and mitigating delays.
- Resolve workforce issues in collaboration with supervisory personnel and subcontractors.
- Work with supervisory, engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to solve construction problems and improve methods for carpentry work.
- Inspect ongoing work to guarantee workmanship complies with specifications and crew schedules.
- Oversee major maintenance of existing installations within carpentry trade.
- Direct installation of doors, frames, and hardware.
- Ensure production quality for millwork, trim, metal studs, drywall, and acoustic ceilings.
- Inspect and conduct on‑site repairs or maintenance.
- Manage small special projects.
