Volunteer Opportunities
The Sierra Vista Unified School District is appreciative of the volunteers who serve our classrooms and schools. Volunteering is rewarding for everyone. Whether participating in the school, classroom, library, playground, athletics, or on a field trip, volunteers enrich the educational experience for all SVUSD students. Thank you for your willingness to spend extra time and effort on behalf of the students in the district.
Our schools welcome your involvement! Volunteers may be a parent, stepparent, legal guardian or grandparent who has a student enrolled at the school, or a community member.
Requirements:
Completion of the SVUSD volunteer application. Successful completion of a Universal Background Check or IVP fingerprint clearance card, depending on the Volunteer Tier (as described in the application). More information will be provided by Human Resources, and any related costs will be covered by SVUSD. Field Trips:
Parents attending a field trip to participate with their student do not need to complete a volunteer application if they are not riding the bus or supervising other students. However, if a parent is riding the bus or overseeing/chaperoning/supervising other students, they are considered a "volunteer" and will need to complete the volunteer application process Tier 2.
For further information, contact Human Resources at 515-2760 or human.resources.az.us.
