Senior Intelligence Capabilities Analyst

Position Summary

The Senior Intelligence Capabilities Analyst serves as a senior subject matter expert (SME) supporting U.S. Army intelligence capability requirements development, with significant emphasis on Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED), geospatial data integration, and intelligence analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Capability Requirements Development

• Provide senior-level SME support for identification, development, assessment, integration, prioritization, and synchronization of Army intelligence capability requirements.
• Analyze operational capability gaps and identify materiel and non-materiel solutions across DOTMLPF-P domains.
• Translate operational needs, lessons learned, emerging threats, and technology developments into actionable capability requirements.
• Develop linkages between intelligence capabilities, operational requirements, war fighting functions, and Army modernization efforts.
• Support development, refinement, staffing, coordination, and assessment of capability requirements and associated documentation.
• Assess requirements across Foundation, Identity, Terrestrial, Aerial, and Space intelligence layers.
• Evaluate interoperability among sensors, intelligence systems, data repositories, analytical tools, mission-command systems, and dissemination architectures.
• Develop supporting or derivative requirements when necessary to address emerging capability gaps.
• Lead or participate in capability assessments, requirements working groups, integrated product teams, and modernization forums.

GEOINT Capability Development

• Serve as a principal SME for identification, assessment, development, integration, and synchronization of GEOINT capability requirements and solutions.
• Assess requirements for geospatial data, imagery, terrain information, mapping, visualization, spatial analysis, and GEOINT-enabled decision support.
• Evaluate GEOINT capability gaps affecting operational planning, Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (IPOE), targeting, collection management, situational understanding, mission command, and decision-making.
• Support requirements involving collection, processing, exploitation, analysis, visualization, storage, dissemination, and integration of GEOINT information.
• Assess GEOINT requirements associated with terrestrial, aerial, airborne, national, commercial, and space-based collection capabilities.
• Evaluate integration of imagery, terrain data, geospatial information, intelligence databases, sensor data, and spatially enabled intelligence products.
• Assess GEOINT interoperability across Army intelligence systems, mission-command environments, analytical platforms, data architectures, and the Common Operational Picture (COP).
• Develop requirements supporting GEOINT data accessibility, discoverability, interoperability, visualization, exploitation, and dissemination.
• Evaluate emerging GEOINT technologies, commercial imagery, automation, artificial intelligence/machine learning, advanced analytics, and space-based capabilities.
• Synchronize GEOINT requirements with Army, Joint, DoD, NGA, and Intelligence Community stakeholders.
• Provide GEOINT-related recommendations supporting modernization, acquisition, training, experimentation, and capability development.

PED and Intelligence Analysis

• Provide capability development expertise for PED, GEOINT exploitation, and intelligence analysis requirements.
• Identify, assess, prioritize, integrate, and synchronize PED and analysis capabilities across Army war fighting functions.
• Assess PED requirements involving imagery, geospatial information, sensor data, intelligence reporting, and other intelligence sources.
• Evaluate how GEOINT and analytical capabilities support the Intelligence Cycle, targeting, collection management, mission planning, mission command, and senior leader decision-making.
• Analyze requirements for moving intelligence data from collection platforms through processing, exploitation, analysis, dissemination, and operational use.
• Identify opportunities to improve the speed, accuracy, accessibility, interoperability, fusion, and operational utility of intelligence products.
• Evaluate automation and advanced analytics supporting processing, exploitation, visualization, fusion, and dissemination.

Multi-INT Integration

• Support capability development involving single-source, All-Source, and Multi-INT disciplines.
• Integrate GEOINT as a foundational capability supporting and enabling other intelligence disciplines.
• Assess opportunities to spatially integrate and visualize intelligence from multiple sources to improve situational understanding.
• Evaluate integration of GEOINT with SIGINT, HUMINT, MASINT, OSINT, cyber, EW, and other intelligence sources.
• Identify interoperability, data integration, visualization, fusion, dissemination, and cross-discipline capability gaps.

Intelligence Systems and Architecture
